Last Wiik’s kick off event of the … Friday AFTERNOON Irregulars got off to a fantastic start (thank you Mike Kriel – I am sure Tiger Woods wishes all of his problems could be solved so easily!) as you can see from the pictures above. Wii golf with the motion plus thing for the Wii, Tiger Woods golf game and hazards with no ticks. What more can you ask for? If you want to see the strange look in Matt Neitzey’s eyes, click on the link on the left which takes you to my “photostream” (okay, bunch of photos…) in something called flickr. You will see them right away. Kind of scary, actually.

I had a blast playing with Gerry on a few songs this past Saturday at the Wharfside. We are hoping to do it again, and I will certainly let you know. Thanks Gerry!
and finally… Some of you know that one of the things our company cares deeply about is the Chesapeake Bay. To that end, I help out with a new shoreline restoration organization called the Maryland Corporate Wetlands Restoration Partnership. I know, that is really a mouthful. In our first year, the Maryland chapter has finished – with a lot of help (that is the “Partnership” part) – a major project: the Hail Cove Living Shoreline Project. This is located at Eastern Neck Wildlife Refuge, located directly across the Chester River from Queenstown Harbor. (yes, Doug, that is actually me planting SAV in the shoreline…)

Tiger Woods is here and we have him! Sort of! The only golf game for the … wait for it… Wii Motion Plus controller.. is Tiger’s PGA 2010! So forget your tired old jokes and get ready to start a new chapter in the Irregulars journey!
When? this Friday at 4 pm and onward!
Where?? at the beautiful clubhouse at South River! at the bar! (I mean, have you seen it yet? It is fantastic! Just got Honorable Mention for redesign!)
How much? for the first one… 5$!! and I am buying the drinks! (yeah, you should get there early before I decide enough is enough on that one…) As usual all of the money goes to the Brick Companies Foundation.
I hope that some of you can make it – I have not even played this version yet, but the old one is a blast. Prize for closest to the pin! Really! There will be! Please tell your friends and encourage some new Irregulars!

Gerry Swarbrick is playing at the Wharfside! (see the post below) and there is a rumor that the mandolin might make it (with me, I hope) and play on a song! Hope to see some Irregulars at the Wharfside!

I have saved ALL THE BINGO BANGO BONGO Scorecards from the entire year (really! I think I actually have all of them!) and hereby propose that on Saturday the 16th at the Wharfside we will hold the VERY unofficial End of the Year Awards of the Friday Morning Irregulars! There will be exciting announcements! (Yeah, sure Charlie…) Especially about what we will be doing for January and February (hint: Wii Motion Plus w/ Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010). Yes there will be special acknowledgement for the Irregulars who have showed up the most, scored the most/least, handed out the most cigars, wore short pants the most (Doug, I think.. although it isn’t like I am looking), always the latest (me, naturally) – general stuff like that. There will also be special prizes to anyone who actually shows up, other than me and Gerry.

Just a quick note to my faithful subscribers! OK, that might not be anybody….
BUT…!!! Don’t forget! This FRIDAY is the Bingo Bango Bongo Bash at Potomac Ridge at 11am! Let me know if you are interested!!! It will be a great one!
AND… Wednesday the 25th at Queenstown is the Cross Country Scramble! That is where you go from, say the tee on the first hole to the green on the fourth hole! and they have mapped out 18 holes! I have always wanted to do one of these…. SO.. I am offering to host ANY of you irregulars who make the trek to Queenstown for this! LET ME KNOW though! I really want to have a showing! and I need someone to play with!
