Greetings Faithful Irregulars!
Lots going on – but no golf this Friday! Why you ask? Cause I will have the Airtarget and Godzilla at the Maryland Seafood Festival! So come on over and have some crab soup and visit my booth – and Isabel and I (more commonly known as “Girl on Mars!” will be performing on the acoustic stage at about 1:30 on Saturday for… oh,.. maybe 10 of 15 minutes! really!
VOLUNTEERS: I will be manning this booth mostly myself, and will probably just close it when Isabel and I have our set, but if any of you would like FREE tickets to the festival with VIP PARKING … let me know! I have the tickets and could sure use a spare hand! Many thanks to all the people, like Janie, who always try to help out. Shelly Ford has already volunteered – but it is a long three days! Thanks for thinking of it!

SO—– This Thursday is the Wine, Nine, Vodka and Whiskey at South River! Gerry Swarbrick will be playing and it will be a blast. We will be on the deck NOT in the pavilion, but we will have a tent and it will be perfect. Thank you Gerry!
and the Classic! We have about 130 golfers signed up already! the date is October 6th and if you are interested in participating – let me know! I am hoping to finish filling it up over the next two weeks.

Okay faithful and very Irregulars! PLEASE read the whole thing, as there are some great things in here, and I took the time to write it, it will take MUCH less time to scan the thing, and I have some important stuff for the Classic at the bottom of this post! Thanks!
I am back from upstate New York and beyond and ready to get back to serious matters! So, without further ado…
We will be at Queenstown this Friday, at 7:00 am!!! and I hope to see you there! I will be giving out FREE Dixon balls, bad jokes and the other normal fare!

the next Wine, Nine and Whiskey! will be on September 10th at South River – this is the perfect spot for this! Wine, golf, the stars, great food, whiskey, a little nite golf, and Gerry Swarbrick playing music in the corner! THANKS GERRY! This is an event which will lead up to the Classic on October 6th! YES it is time to talk about the Classic!!!!!
If you are interested in the Wine and Nine – let me know! ALL irregulars are encouraged to come! This will be the last Wine and Nine this year.

OK, this is on September 11, 12 and 13 and Atlantic Golf is gonna have a really great presence at the festival. Think GODZILLA and the Air Target! yeah! you get the idea! yeesh… I think I need to get me some volunteers! yow! … anyway, Isabel and I will be doing a short “Girl On Mars” set on Saturday at 1 or 1:30 and I really hope we have an audience! hint… hint! I just spoke with someone in Florida, and it must be raining everywhere today (Dad will call later and recommend building an ark for sure) BUT we are still on tonight for the WINE and Whiskey part of the event! We have some excellent wines to sample, and of course whiskeys, but this is the first time we have had so much wine to sample! Some Chilean, some California..
I just talked to BLUE THRILL and we will try to start a little early so show up at 6! I am picking up Chef Bruce’s (he is our new chef at South River) desserts and heading over there in a few minutes.

and I am working on a NEW mystery activity that we will try out during the drinking and socializing part of the evening. OK, calm down, it is golf related….

This week we will be meeting at Potomac Ridge and I REALLY hope some more of you can make it! These are the best days of the whole year to play and we need to play!!
As always: bring $15, show up at 7 am, say “where the H#ll is Charlie?” and bring new golf jokes!
ANNOUNCEMENT! Important! ————– Wine, Nine and Whiskey! at Potomac Ridge on June 5th!!! Here is the deal, if you did not do this with us at South River two years ago..
You can opt for nine holes or not, that is up to you! BUT we will have wines, whiskeys and live music from our irregular friend Phil with his group Blue Thrill. This will be a great evening and will benefit the Alice Ferguson Foundation (which is just around the corner on the Potomac River).
Let me know if you have any questions, but really try to make this one! We will have the Air target (skeeball golf) and maybe even a 20 foot high godzilla! really! DON’T miss this one!
